We’re the Mays family — full-time parents, part-time preppers, and full-grown believers in self-sufficiency.
At AMAYSN Acres, we’re reclaiming what it means to live free, eat well, and grow something real. Located in Kansas City, Missouri, our 8.6-acre urban farm is a USDA-registered agricultural site (Farm #5500, Tract 5118), where we raise chickens, ducks, turkeys, bees, goats, and fish. We grow seasonal produce including collard greens, garlic, tomatoes, bok choy, microgreens, sweet potatoes, and more — not just for ourselves, but as part of a bigger vision: community food sovereignty and generational health.
Our land is our classroom, our sanctuary, and our contribution to a more self-sustaining future. What started as a front-yard flock and a few backyard beds has become a working, multi-parcel operation. We use every inch of our land — from free-range poultry in the front, to apiaries and compost stations in the back, to rotational grazing zones and permaculture in the woods. We don’t need big barns or tractors to prove we’re a farm — our soil, our animals, and our food tell the truth.
We built AMAYSN Life to share this journey with our family and yours — with honest tips, science-backed nutrition, and real-world strategies for living better, eating smarter, and preparing for whatever comes. From healthy meal prep to backyard chickens to macro tracking that actually works, we believe every household deserves tools to thrive.
