We made this soft, protein-packed ravioli for our daughter Pearl, but it’s so good we had to share it with the world. Made from fresh ingredients, blended smooth for toddler ease, and shaped using a simple dumpling press, these little pasta pockets are a delicious way to sneak in greens, protein, and joy.

Instructions

  1. Make the breadcrumb dough base
Let 2 slices of Dave’s Bread air-dry overnight or toast until stiff. Blend into fine breadcrumbs.
  2. Prepare the dough
Mix flour, breadcrumbs, and eggs. Knead until smooth and elastic.
Refrigerate dough for at least 30 minutes (or 15 minutes in the freezer) while you prep the filling. This makes it easier to roll and shape.
  3. Blend the filling
Cook the turkey. Steam the broccoli and spinach. Combine with cheeses in a food processor until smooth and spreadable.
  4. Shape the ravioli
Use your mold or dumpling press to cut and fill. Lightly dampen edges, fold, and press to seal.
  5. Cook
Drop into salted boiling water. When they float, they’re done (about 2–4 minutes).
  6. Serve with love
Let cool slightly for toddlers — and steal a few for yourself.

AMAYSN Notes

  • Make ahead & store:
Freeze flat on a tray, then transfer to vacuum-sealed bags or freezer-safe containers.
You can also store unused dough in the fridge (up to 2 days) or freeze for later use.
  • Customize:
Swap turkey for lentils or add herbs like basil or garlic for flavor boosts.
  • Kid hack:
Leftover filling makes great sandwich spread or dip.
